Winter Wonderland

Once again, winter is around the corner and snow is in the forecast.  It is time to pull out the boots and gloves to prepare for this long season.  As we all know, Minnesota winters come packed with long blizzards, school cancelations, and iced packed roads.  Sometimes in the dead of winter, we as car owners, tend to forget about essential car upkeep.  It is cold and yucky outside; who wants to go clean their car?  This is a commonly found mindset of drivers in the Midwest; however, this careless mentality can actually be heavily damaging to your your vehicle.  Many people think that they just have to wash their car in the summer because if they wash it in the winter, it will just get dirty again.  Let everyone be reminded that washing your car isn’t specifically designed just to make your vehicle look more appealing, but rather to wash off all harmful material, such as road salt, sand, slush.  When the temperature quickly goes from above to below freezing and then back again, is the time when most of the deterioration of your car will happen. So, once the snow falls, make sure that you stay proactive and wash your car on a continual basis to make sure it stays in pristine condition.
